Adhesive Aluminium Hook Rail
Adhesive Aluminium Hook Rail
Couldn't load pickup availability
An aluminium rail that goes up without a drill, for the utensils, cloths and mugs that otherwise take a drawer they do not deserve. Vertical wall space is the storage most kitchens never use, and in a rental it is usually the only storage you are allowed to add. It costs almost nothing and returns a drawer.
Aluminium rather than plated steel matters if this is going anywhere near a sink or a hob. Plated hooks rust at the first chip and then mark the wall behind them; aluminium does not, so a rail above a draining board still looks like something you chose two years later. The adhesive holds against the weight of utensils and cloths rather than pans, and it removes without taking the paint with it.
Choose four, six, eight or ten hooks depending on the run of wall you have and what you want on it. Mount to a clean, dry, smooth surface and leave it a full day before loading, which is the step everyone skips and then blames the adhesive for. Textured or freshly painted walls are the two surfaces it will not hold on. Wipe the rail rather than scrubbing it, and hang wet cloths spread out rather than bunched so they dry.

Wall Space You Were Not Using

Aluminium Does Not Rust Over A Sink

No Drill, And No Holes Left Behind
The adhesive holds the weight of utensils, cloths and mugs, and it removes without taking the paint with it. Four, six, eight or ten hooks depending on the run of wall you have.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much weight will the adhesive hold?
Utensils, cloths and mugs, comfortably. It is not intended for cast iron pans or anything with real mass. Judge it by what you would hang on a hook rather than what you would stand on a shelf.
What surfaces will it stick to?
Clean, dry and smooth. Tile, gloss paint, sealed plaster and most splashbacks are fine. Textured walls and freshly painted ones are the two it will not hold on, so give new paint a few weeks first.
Can I hang things on it straight away?
Leave it a full day before loading. That is the step everyone skips and then blames the adhesive for. Twenty four hours of patience is the difference between a rail that lasts years and one that falls off in a week.
How many hooks should I get?
Match it to the run of wall rather than to how much you own. Four suits a short gap beside a hob, ten suits a full stretch above a counter. A crowded rail is harder to use than a half empty one.
Will it damage the wall when I take it down?
It removes without wrecking the paint, which is the whole reason it suits a rental. Hang wet cloths spread out rather than bunched so they dry, and wipe the rail rather than scrubbing it.
